So, for those still in the dark-I scored a total of 5As for SPM. Half shot, like Liew says, haha. The rest were Bs, for my Science subjects and Add Maths. And Bahasa Malaysia, of all subjects, it was least expected. XD
Frankly, I’d be lying through my teeth if I say I wouldn’t be a wee bit happier with better results, say…7As. (It would be delusional even for me to dream of 101As, zomg)
This marks the first time I haven’t scored straight As in a major public examination. So naturally, it kinda takes time to shrug it off, although I had set no expectations this time. (Therein lies the problem?) But thanks loads for trying to cheer me up, you know who you are.
On another hand, getting the result slip today simply makes me even surer of the path I’m about to take. Ohohoho. *cue for melodramatic music*
So…I’ll be going down to Subang and Nilai this weekend then. Have fun at the Pantai Kerachut hike, guys!
(P/S: I believe the last time I heard of so many As, it was when that loony fellow faked an SPM exam slip. But
this is the real deal,apparently.

I didn’t even know the results were out today. >.< But anyway, I understand what you mean about having to take time off to be apathetic about the results, being straight As previously. But then again, I think SPM isn’t something for people like us. Lol. During my time, I hated those Science subjects and Add Math as well. But somehow during my foundation, Add Math was fun. Perhaps it’s the education, not us? Heh.
But trust me when I say, SPM isn’t everything. Admittedly, I wasn’t satisfied, or all that apathetic as I sounded on my blog then, but I never knew how much the future holds for me. Like say, scoring really well in college, and getting a scholarship from of all people … Shell? I doubt someone with my results for SPM would have such an opportunity, you know? Perhaps people like us are more suited to study in college-environment?
I’m all for the subjects you have chosen for A-Lvls. At least to me, they seem hopeful! (very interesting ones you’ve chosen!)
And they look like a smart move. Don’t take A-Lvls if you’re taking those subs the STPM-ers are taking, alright? Cos I think they’re ridiculous and they’ll only pull ’smart’ people like us down to deepest abyss of the earth. Lol.
Enjoy your trip this weekend.
May you make the most out of it.
Thanks loads Joan. =) Feel an odd sort of comfort upon reading your comment, haha. And congratulations once more on your scholarship with Shell!
But aside from it being in English and NO SCIENCE NO MATHS WHOOP DEE DOO! A-Levels is still a very exam-based route, I guess. Bah. Hopefully, the college environment will rub off on me,lol.
By the way, my choice of subjects are sort of different right now, since I’m contemplating INTI Nilai. They don’t offer English Lit and Sociology,bah-so I have to take Business Studies and Accounting. Not that bad, as I’m constantly reminded-I *did* drop Lit. half way through at SPM level itself. :p
Hey.. well. Like they say; SPM ain’t everything anyways.
I’ve linked you, by the way.
*pokes* remember to change my link, ayte (:
You’re considering INTI Nilai?? I’m studying here!
I’ll be completing my degree in Aug 2009, so if you choose here, we’ll prolly be seeing each another for about a year or so. I’m not very sure about Accounting cos I’ve never really studied it, but as far as I know, Business Studies is not that bad.
I’m not quite sure about you, but to me, if I’m studying something I like, and I know I can score well in it, and it’s pretty easy (for me), I’ll tend to like studying it a lot. I mean, it’s pointless if you study something so difficult, suffering throughout the entire period, and end up just scoring mediocre results. When you’re looking for a job, those ppl out there want the best. They’re looking for the best – whether the field is “as brilliant” as the others, it doesn’t matter. As long as you’re the best in what you’re doing, you’re highly sought after. It’s meaningless if you’re studying, let’s say medicine, but you’re just an average student in that field, you know?
My point is: choose something you like, and one that you know you can excel in. If you have the confidence on being the best, then go for it!
p/s: I’ve never really studied counseling or psychology or sorts, so … my advices might not be that reliable. >.< Though I hope they would serve as some help.
if you’re to enrol, you’re going for the May intake right?if u need eng lit for your degree den IPG does offer it….what do u plan on taking after a levels?

Ezackly-so thank you very much for reaffirming that. =DDD. There are times when I go knocking my head against the wall thinking if I’ve made the right decision, but comments like these make my day, hahaha.
Su-Quinn:
Initially, I planned to enroll in INTI in May. Even went down for a visit and tour and everything…the campus environment is really to my liking (I’m a homebody, whee), loved the place and my parents was quite willing to go ahead with it…but I chose subject combination over location in the end. So right now, I’m studying in a relatively unknown college (XD) -Kemayan ATC.
I plan on taking Law after A-Levels. For curiosity’s sake-are you currently taking law too? =)
